Stories of our Streets is a research project exploring – through guided walks, talks, books and zines – the past of our homes and streets in Stoke Newington, Hackney, Islington and North London.

The project builds on 20 years of academic research in cultural geography and contemporary archaeology focused on local folklore, found objects and the social histories of homes and the places where we live.

I also have a interest in how ghost stories offer vivid portals into forgotten local histories and enliven our understandings of the past.
